Kitui based forums are known for their intensive and resourceful discourse with members of the public, elected leaders, appointed members of the County government including the ministers and the county boss herself getting into hot discussions on matters affecting the vast Kitui County.
Those who support the current regime have with no doubt experienced the most difficult times on these forums, not to mention the Governor herself, her ministers, close allies, her lawyers, and even some family members – some who serve in the county executive.
Our latest victim, who we can confidently project that she will soon leave some of the most active group including the oldest and most active Kitui Professional Chat (KPC) one Hellenah Ken, the newest and current minister of Tourism, Youth Development, Sports and Culture in Kitui.
Over the last few days, she has been moving from one part of the county to the other, launching and investigating some county projects within her docket, something which has attracted attention from both the supporters of the government and the critics.
She has been at the center stage of conversations in the last few hours, with allegations, and insinuations of all sorts with some terming her as Kalonzo’s mole and project in the Ngilu’s administration, others saying her appointment was merely political to gain Ngilu some millage ahead of general elections.
The frustrated minister kept on swallowing everything with ease but today, she couldn’t bear it, one Eric Nzangi plugged her last patient nerve and she roared.
You know most of them wataachiwa mishahara, hata kununua tissue hawataweza. Lakini pole sana kwa generals wa skm in mbee nzei. – Nzangi said, insinuating that Hellena was one of Kalonzo’s troops in Ngilu’s government.
This was all she waited for to give her advice to the hundreds of members who had now made it clear that she was going to remain the day’s discussion.
Do you know it is wrong to discuss mentioning people’s names on a social platform? – Minister Hellenah broke the silence
Like hungry bees, members embraced her question with responses, some in agreement, many in disagreement more so because she is a public servant whose name and the job have now become of interest to all.
Instead of idling here guys it is raining why can’t you go and cultivate your shambas? – She dropped the humbling punch
This has so far aroused feelings of almost all members apart from her colleagues in the executive, with unending vilifications geared towards the gospel artist turned politician.
More to folow.
