Ngilu’s Bizarre Made In Kitui Makueni Devolution Conference Booth Scoops Silver Medal

The Seventh Devolution Conference ended today in Wote, Makueni with a call to the 47 county governments to implement legislation on the impact of climate change.

Kitui County was among the counties participating and whose contribution to devolution works were honored.

The event ended with calls by many leaders and speakers to strengthen the devolved units by way of allocating more funds to the county governments noting that strong counties would offer more employment opportunities for the youth.

These calls come at a time when the country continues to bear the brunt of climate change impacts and associated socio-economic losses.

The national government has however adopted a comprehensive set of policies, rules, and procedures to address climate change in the country.
