Earlier today, Kivou Member of the County Assembly at a special meeting tabled the County workers’ report which unsurprisingly revealed the rot in the kicotek godown.

This report blamed KICOTEC for oppressing their workers by not paying them on time and poorly paying the majority of them.

Supported by many other county legislators including Kaziku MCA James Munuve, nominated MCA Waziri Bakari, Ikanga MCA Anthony Mbiti among others, the house called out on the KICOTEC management and Governor Ngilu to address their workers concerns IMMEDIATELY.

The special meeting resolved on getting the godown workers to pay rise with the least paid projected to earn not below Ksh 15,000 in order to be able to sustain their lives.

Governor Ngilu was also blamed for favoritism on how KICOTEC workers have been hired, where the majority of them are said to come from a specific region and families.
