Judiciary is nursing untold injuries from various political groupings who have been steering BBI Bill in the last few months, led by the ODM politicians and supporters.
Okoa Kenya alliance, led by Wiper Party leader and other principles has called on Kenyans and the political class to respect the judiciary and the judges even after pronouncing a verdict, not in their favor.
Now the High Court’s decision has stopped the BBI process. Personally I do not agree with the judgment. But I cannot vilify the judges. In the all-important role of nation building we must exercise restraint from anything that could plunge the nation into a crisis. – Kalonzo said
While issuing his statement earlier today, Kalonzo asked Members of the public, supporters of the Wiper Party, and the entire OKA team to respect the rule of law as well as the institutions.
We must all respect the institution that the judiciary is. As far as the BBI is concerned we are guided by the rule of law and our right to appeal the decision of the high court at the Court of Appeal. – Kalonzo Added
The Wiper Party leader did not shy away from acknowledging the challenges, saying that the road was obviously going to be bumpy. Kalonzo assured supporters that victory was theirs in the long run.
No one promised us a quick or smooth journey. So we must stay the course. On this basis, I also ask all Kenyans of goodwill to respect due process and respect our judiciary. It is neither wise nor helpful to disparage the judiciary on account of the High Court Judgment. -Wiper Boss Kalonzo Musyoka
The Attorney General has so far moved to the court of appeal to appeal the High Court’s decision, I can confirm that the court of appeal has already received and stamped the case files.
