Kitui South MP Dr. Rachael Nyamai has released education bursaries valued at Ksh 16.6 Million that will support the education of needy learners in her constituency.

Ksh 15.8 Million will support over 3000 needy students in an estimated 600 secondary schools within and outside Kitui South.

Ksh 650,000 has been allocated to support the education of special students in the 3 special education schools in Kitui South (Mutha, Kyatune, and Ikanga) while Ksh 527,000 will support vocational education at the newly established Ikutha Technical Training Institute.

The Kitui South NG-CDF had released Ksh 5.5 million earlier in February to cushion parents from the biting shortage of resources occasioned by the covid 19 pandemic in the country.

The new figure makes the total amount released by Dr. Nyamai to support the education of needy learners in her constituency Ksh 22 Million in one year.
