In Kitui County and Ukambani at large, Donkey transport is very key and critical, therefore, we must protect their health by feeding them well and making sure they get the right treatment whenever they fall sick.

This was said today, by Kitui Deputy Governor Dr. Wathe Nzau at Musila Garden grounds in Mwingi town, where he was representing H.E Governor Charity Ngilu as the Chief Guest in launching a Conventional forum on Donkey husbandry.

The event which was attended by both National and County Government officers was organized by Caritus Kitui in Partnership with Brook East Africa and Kitui County Government.

During that function, hundreds of donkeys were examined and treated by Veterinary officers for free.
