Ngilu Stops Reggae: Football Tournaments Scheduled To Take Place In Schools Halted

Less than 6 hours after Kitui Daylight reported on the less consequential Politician tournaments to the youths going on in the region, Kitui County has now decided to halt any scheduled progress of the same with immediate effect.

A letter to all departmental heads in the Kitui County government penned from the County ministry of health and sanitization decries the blatant ignorance by those organizing the same football matches to the covid-19 preventive measures.

The move, more likely to spike off feud and unending controversies in the next few hours and days is said to be of the residents’ best interests, even to those who may not see it that way.

Kitui Daylight tried to reach their informers in the office of the sports and tourism minister Hon Koki for more details unsuccessfully.

Among the most likely cups tournaments to be halted includes the most popular Charles Nguna cup scheduled on 31st at Migwani Boys secondary school in Mwingi West and that of Mr. Mwangangi which has been attracting critics from all over Kitui South in the last few weeks.
