In fulfillment of HE Governor Charity Ngilu’s development agenda to the people, her office’s Chief Officer Kimanzi Zakayo toured health facilities and Community Level Infrastructure Development Projects (CLIDP) in Mbitini Ward, Kitui Rural Subcounty during the ongoing robust inspection of county projects by Senior county government officials that started on 15th Tuesday, running up to Friday, June 18, 2021.

The county-wide development tour is one of the measures being undertaken by Ngilu’s Government to ensure enhanced supervision of the implementation of all projects for maximum benefit to the community.

Mr. Zakayo visited the Kivuuni dispensary, Mbitini health center, Kasevi borehole, Mbooni earth dam, Kyangesu earth dam, and Kanzau dispensary.

Addressing the residents, the Chief Officer echoed Governor Ngilu’s plans of successful implementation of the CLIDP projects with a rating of 95% and above. He urged the community to hurriedly apply for the County Empowerment Fund and upon award, to utilize it wisely for production purposes to ensure sustainable wealth creation.

The community welcomed the plan of enrolling in Universal Health Care having experienced the achievement of Kitui County Health Insurance Cover (K-CHIC).

The resident’s representatives reiterated that upgrading the insurance to an NHIF status with support from Ngilu’s Government will enable easy treatment of patients anywhere in the country which will be a great healthcare milestone.
